PHOENIX — A woman has died after being hit by a garbage truck in north Phoenix Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Union Hills Drive at about 3:30 p.m.
Police say the driver of a City of Phoenix garbage truck remained on the scene.
The woman was later identified as 21-year-old Orianna Nicole Diosdado.
It is currently unknown what led up to the crash.
This incident remains under investigation.
