PHOENIX — Food critic and social media influencer Keith Lee has made a stop in the Valley after asking for local restaurant recommendations.
Lee frequently visits different cities and tries local restaurants, posting reviews on his social media channels. The posts garner millions of views and draw heavy foot traffic to the restaurants if the reviews are good.
Lee's first local stop in the Valley was Mesa's Republica Empanada.

Lee's review was largely positive, saying they have fresh ingredients and good sauces. He gave most of the items he tried a good review, complimenting the empanadas they specialize in. He also said on his social media channel that he tipped every worker at the restaurant at the time $500.

Lee originally posted saying he wanted to visit four local restaurants in the Valley.

Lee also recently posted a review of In N Out, but it's unclear if he's counting that as one of his "local" tries.
