Rachel Louise Just is a multimedia journalist who joined ABC15 as a political reporter in December 2023.
She is passionate about making politics accessible and taking stories beyond the walls of the Capitol building by demonstrating how policy impacts all of us.
Prior to joining ABC15, Rachel reported politics statewide for four TV stations in Michigan.

Prior to joining ABC15, Rachel reported politics statewide for four TV stations in Michigan. During her three years there, she covered pivotal moments in state and national history, such as the certification of the 2020 presidential election and its continuing fallout. Rachel reported through some of the state's darkest moments, including two mass school shootings and systemic sexual abuse at the state's public universities. As the only statewide TV political reporter in Michigan at the time, Rachel's work has been referenced in national and international news outlets.
Her broadcast career began in Bozeman, Montana, where Rachel spent more than two years covering everything from historic wildfires to a llama rescue in Yellowstone National Park. Within the first six months of her journalism career, Rachel took part in an exclusive interview with President Donald Trump aboard Air Force One in the days before the key 2018 midterm election.
Rachel graduated from Purdue University with a double major in communication and theatre-acting. She was born and raised in Indiana. Outside of working hours, there is a strong chance Rachel is out of service, hiking or on a road trip exploring all the Grand Canyon State has to offer.
