MESA, AZ — Mesa police are investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian and a Union Pacific train.
The collision happened near Broadway Road and MacDonald, near Center Street, on Monday morning.
Police say the pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was struck by the train and died.
There is no word yet on what led to the crash.
Traffic in the area was restricted for several hours during the investigation.
