SAN TAN VALLEY, AZ — A 20-year-old and 18-year-old are in custody in connection to an attack on a teenager in San Tan Valley in November, according to officials with the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
Jacob Pennington was arrested on January 10 and Garrett Bagshaw was arrested on January 12.
On January 24, Pennington and Bagshaw were both indicted separately by a Pinal County grand jury for aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.
Authorities believe they were involved in an altercation near Wagon Wheel Road and Sun Dance Drive in San Tan Valley on November 18.
In that altercation that was recorded and posted to social media, a 16-year-old boy received minor injuries and did not need medical treatment.
The video, according to court documents, shows the victim being hit several times in the face by a man and other people.
In court paperwork, Pennington said he was defending a female friend who he claims was struck by the 16-year-old. Witnesses said Pennington was allegedly the main aggressor in the incident.
Pennington is now facing charges of aggravated assault for his alleged involvement in this incident.

On Wednesday, officials said more arrests may be made in this case. It is unknown how many people were involved in this incident.
Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb said in a video posted to Facebook Friday, "If you had involvement in this case, my advice to you would be to turn yourself in now because we will find you."
According to court documents, Pennington told investigators that he associated with the "Gilbert Goons" and the name originated from a Snapchat group chat.
This information was released around the same time that ABC15 became aware of an arrest in a separate incident involving teen violence.

Earlier on Wednesday, Gilbert police arrested an 18-year-old man in connection to the assault and robbery of a teen boy in August.
Later in the afternoon, it was announced that an additional 18-year-old and two 16-year-olds were arrested in the same August incident.
On Tuesday night, Gilbert Police Chief Michael Soelberg said his agency was investigating nine total teen violence cases. This count is independent of this PCSO arrest.
